Young LPs (Little Preciouses) Can Make Sausage Balls TOO!

Updated: Aug 20, 2021

The Things You’ll Need: 2 pounds breakfast sausage (I used Jimmy Dean) 4 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese (I used medium cheddar) 1 1/2 cups baking mix ( I used regular Bisquick)

  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees

  2. Break up sausage in a bowl add the cheese. This has to me freshly grated or it will not work ( no bag shred here) mix well Add baking mix carefully to incorporate but not over worked

  3. Form into balls and bake on a lined cookie sheet

  4. Bake 20 – 30 minutes depending on the size of the ball (I baked mine 30 minutes)

I thought this would be a great way to kick off the holiday baking! The boys were a HUGE help in grating the 4 cups of cheese! I divided it between the 2 and the race was on! See how well they are working together? I took this photo just before the first punch was thrown😂. That's your warning, if you are baking with 2 or more boys! REAL LIFE
